Adagio for Strings
Accidently sent that too early, so that's a bit awkward. Anyways, meeting with Brother Carr is awesome, because he loves to talk about planes and in Spanish. He's probably my favorite, but there are so many more that I will miss. I don't know how I could do this every transfer I move, but it probably comes with time.
Anyways, sorry this emails in two parts, but next one will be from Spain, and every one after that. Reach out

Coming soon. Its lateHello everybody, this week has gone by super fast. This is my last pday in the United States, and I'll be leaving tomorrow at 6 in the morning.
We left off with me in Pagedale on exchanges. As expected, the hood was the best for finding. 2nd door we knock is interested and was like "yeah I've been looking for a church for a while." We go storefinding and for the first time I want to be the one to talk. Everyone there loves talking about Jesus and church. We went to their branches mutual activity, picking up trash on the side of the road. The youth there were awesome, even though there were not a lot. They even brought a non-member friend and we were able to talk about why we served missions and about the Book of Mormon.
Thursday was a pretty normal day, but that night was exchanges with the APs. Fear not, we're all good, they're just in our district. They also have the ysa, which everyone says is the best, but i didn't really enjoy it. There was a lot of going to college campuses and doing the same thing as storefinding. Even though its easier to talk to people my age, some of them are really weird. There was also a ton of lessons, which would usually be great, but I didn't know anyone I was teaching. They were all over zoom and even though we had several cancel, we still had to skip dinner to get them all in.
The next morning I led out the area for the first time. It was a little stressful to have all the responsibility of a productive day and knowing all the people to contact, but it went pretty well. It was me and elder Ing, who's the best. We went storefinding and I was able to talk to 2 spanish speakers about church, and one was interested. He didn't show up, but maybe one day. It also rained and thundered all day, which i havent seen for a long time. That was great, and im really glad we had the car.
We had an emergency lesson with George because he had his hours cut and had to work sunday to make up for it. We taught him keeping the sabbath holy and how God helps us keep commandments. We were asking how he could get to church and explaining we want it for him and not for us. He was just like, " I can move church back and go to an earlier service." So we went with him to the earlier ward and hes still on date for next week. I said goodbye since I won't see him, but he's an amazing friend with incredible faith.
For a spiritual thought:
I finished the Book of Mormon today. It wasn't the first time and probably won't be the last, but I am amazed at how that happened. From one thought at the mtc, I have read through it looking specifically for references to missionary work. As I did, I found verses that applied so perfectly into what was happening almost everyday. Now that I leave tomorrow and probably won't be studying English scriptures, that's when I got to the last page. God works with us in such interesting ways that aren't even realized until looking back. They might feel like luck or coincidences, but they are experiences personally tailored toward us.
I found 454 references to missionary work, a lot more than I thought. It showed me just how important my calling is and that this is God's work, no matter where it is. There is a lot that i will miss about St Louis. Taco Bell for studies every morning and McDonalds every night. The big trees and sunsets. I think the thing I will miss the most, though, would be the people. I loved meeting with members in their homes, practicing Spanish and getting to know them. There were families that reminded me of my own, and others that shared some of my passions. I was able to give the closing prayer in sacrament meeting and say my goodbyes. We were going to say more for member visits, but just visited Brother Carr, the pilot.
