The A Team

Hello everyone, this week has been much, much better. We found a lot more people and now have 2 people on date.

This week was also transfers, so we had a ton of people in piso like usual. Trainers, zone leaders, and random people that got some of the worsts travel plans I have ever seen were all staying the nights Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. A little crazy, but part of the start of a good week.

Like I said earlier, we found a lot of people this week, over 25. I haven't hit those numbers since Alicante and there's a lot of promising people in there, too. Including one of the people on date for baptism. We met with him about 2 days after we met him, tried talking about the Plan of Salvation, but he was already ready for an invitation. Afterwards, he said he could sleep better after reading the Book of Mormon and felt so much peace at church.

Diego also accepted the invitation after almost 2 whole transfers of working with him. He's always been really invested the lessons and coming to church, he's just not felt ready for a while and is also in Colombia for a bit longer.

For a spiritual thought:

After getting a few of my thoughts out last week, I have felt a bit better. There have been a few other experiences this week that have helped even more. For Elders Quorum we talked about the talk from the last general conference called "Simplicity in Christ" by Elder Cziesla. It talked about how important the small and simple things of the gospel are. We talked about it later with the lady we always take the sacrament to after, and how the small things are often the most powerful and the most important. It's a great talk and given by a German, so a double win.

Another talk, given by Elder Holland, also helped a lot and reminded me that the Lord is always aware of our circumstances, which has kind of been the theme in all of these thoughts. It's called "Tomorrow the Lord Will Do Wonders among You" and that's exactly what He did. In the talk, Elder Holland says:

"If we give our heart to God, if we love the Lord Jesus Christ, if we do the best we can to live the gospel, then tomorrow—and every other day—is ultimately going to be magnificent, even if we don’t always recognize it as such. Why? Because our Heavenly Father wants it to be! He wants to bless us. A rewarding, abundant, and eternal life is the very object of His merciful plan for His children! It is a plan predicated on the truth 'that all things work together for good to them that love God.'"

I've always been a big advocate of things always working out, even if I forget it sometimes. It's amazing how many times I have simply trusted in God that something that I needed to happen would happen, or even something that I didn't need to happen happen. Then see those miracles, asked for or not, unfold in front of my eyes. Here are some just from this week:

- While talking to someone, someone else called out to us. So we kind of stopped talking to the first person (it wasn't going anywhere and he was super evangelical) and found out that this family had moved here the day before, and her son was a member.
- Bore testimony to our super Catholic friend and he really enjoyed it. It also didn't rain just for church so he could come
- First lesson with that guy and we put a date
- We started texted someone that stopped getting taught and he's been asking a lot about the Book of Mormon and what we teach
- We were talking to someone on a bench and hes asked how to get a book of Mormon and wanted to be baptized
- Many more

I know that everything works out in the end when we trust in God and His miracles. "So keep loving. Keep trying. Keep trusting. Keep believing. Keep growing. Heaven is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever."

Hope you all had and have a great week, reach out please!

Id con Dios,

- Elder Puzey
