Viva la Vida

Hello everyone, another week has passed here in Madrid. Not a great one, but not a terrible one either. Contacting was meh, companionship issues were a little prevalent, but there was a lot of good, too. The member's, for example, are getting to know us way more and becoming a lot more involved in the work.  So, full of ups and downs, like usual. Not much more to say for this week, to be completely honest. We had exchanges on Saturday, a really nice break to be honest. I went to the 6th ward, not much of an exchange since we live together, but good. We had a few lessons, one with a now-baptismal date. We also did 2 temple tours, which are always really fun. After that, we stole some cake from the Relief Society activity (we were kind of invited so it's alright).  We also some some nice activities in our own ward, a movie night, meetings for planning more, and a lot of meals.  For a spiritual thought: Again, another Elder Holland talk can carry the week. The A Team

Hello everyone, this week has been much, much better. We found a lot more people and now have 2 people on date. This week was also transfers, so we had a ton of people in piso like usual. We met with him about 2 days after we met him, tried talking about the Plan of Salvation, but he was already ready for an invitation. Afterwards, he said he could sleep better after reading the Book of Mormon and felt so much peace at church. Diego also accepted the invitation after almost 2 whole transfers of working with him. He's always been really invested the lesson...

Hello everyone, this week is over, somewhat thankfully. The transfer has also ended, luckily with some ups. As probably made obvious by my last few emails, it was hard. Really pretty hard. We had one consistent friend that was progressing, and every other would not respond. Street contacting went poorly, we had some problems as companions, and we got more and more discouraged as the weeks went by. The biggest problem, however, was the pressure. For some reason, I felt a ton of pressure like I needed to change who I am this transfer. From Pres, my comp, a few people we talked to. Like who I was was not good enough. It got to the point where I was constantly afraid even my standing before God was not the same. This weekend was great for fixing that. We had a meal with some senior missionaries with their friends. One of them shared an amazing testimony of their conversion story and why I'm really here. I focused a lot on that and reflected a lot, too. I realized that I do not need to ...
