Hello everyone, this week went by pretty fast and there was a lot that happened, but I kind of want to follow last week's theme. More things to know about Spain: - Everyone smokes - They blast Brittany Spears when school gets out for mediadia (yes, they literally go home for lunch) - If you were wondering what a European ghost town would look like, walk the streets here from 2-4. Do it on Sunday for even better results Highlights: - Jose got baptized this sunday! Every time it was referenced around members, he would always thank them, including in the font - We got a lot of member meals - Went on my first real exchanges here with the other elders. I still had one trainer, but we were in the other area - Went to the fairwell of a member serving in Madrid North - Our zone found 64 people in one day - Helped teach English class Now for the things that need more explaining: - We went to a new friends house and left after 2 hours. It wasn't a bash, but a very long discussion with an...

Hello everyone, this one probably won't be too long, and may be mostly just some highlights and things to know about Spain.  Highlights: - All of our recent converts came to church - We were able to give the sacrament to the same sister again - I was with the other elders 3 days this week and could help in an english class - Learning guitar (?) Things to know (some of these are the same for anyone that's been anywhere in europe): - Pedestrians have all the power and its safer to cross the street here than anywhere I've seen - You won't know half the car brands here unless you watched Top Gear - Lots of minis 🚗 - All the sidewalks are soft and smooth tiles, theres also no carpet anywhere - Kebab is amazing but not what you think - Dominos is 10x better (all you can eat for $8) - In this part especially theres a lot of Muslims, which makes sense historically and geographically - Valentino, a dialect of Catalan, is the first language on transportation - Its not as weird t...

Miguel's Baptism Hello everyone, things have slowed down a little bit so this email should be a little more put-together. Either they've slowed down, or im able to keep up with more.  It also feels like less happened because we went to Madrid again this week. My trainers had exchanges and the other elders in piso were going up for a residency appointment, so I went with them. It was raining the whole 2 days and was way colder than it is here on the coast. We stayed with some elders there, making 7 people in one apartment.  We got back Wednesday night and I ruinited with my trainers the next day. Despite missing a couple days, we found over 40 people this week. Its crazy how open some people are, and one even came to church the very next day. We had a couple lessons with a friend getting baptized next week, but when we were teaching him he was asking "why can't we just do it today?" He's really awesome and has cried a couple times when bearing his testimony or ...
